LOGOS "LUCKY 13TH" YEAR
Welcome back to our LUCKY 13th year in our LOGOS ministry. We are grateful to all the volunteers who help to make this ministry possible and hope that anyone who is not currently plugged in would be willing to find out more and be blessed by serving. There is a correction regarding the schedule. September themes are:
9/8 - Jesus on Fire k-8th Grades - 3:15 - 6:00
9/15 - In These Waters 9-12th Grades - 5:20 - 6:45
9/22 - Fiesta
9/29 - God's Gifts
Thank you to all who stepped forward to help with our "artistic expression" class which will take the place of Worship Skills for the 1st semester. If you feel called to teach, we have opportunities for teaching as well. The sign -up sheet for cooks has now been posted. Get together with your Circle, 4th Day Group, Men's Group or friends and neighbors and help us cook for the kids. Andrea Magretto will be your "go to" person for information on cooking. We welcome 2 new board members this year: Ronnie Turner (Recreation) and Brian Fenstermacher (Treasurer). Scholarships are always welcome. You can drop them off in the office or place in the Sunday offering. Please designate the gift for LOGOS.
Jr. and Sr. Highs will be collecting toilet paper in September to contribute to our church's FEED MY SHEEP program. These contributions go to Ecumenical Ministries. Help our TEENS build a TOWER of T.P. by dropping off yours in the YOUTH room. Contributions are due by "LOGOS LEGOS "night on October 6th. The more we gather the more creative they will be with their towering creations!

In conjunction with the September "FEED MY SHEEP" drive for Ecumenical Ministries, the Witness and Service Committee of First Presbyterian Church has challenged the Jr. and Sr. High LOGOS kids to collect as much toilet paper as they "can" for this drive. Whether your toilet paper roll is over or under, it doesn't matter. We all use it and we all need it. During this time of economic disaster, we all need to help. So make this fun! Collect all you "can" and pile it up in the YOUTH room. We are going to do some fun things with it before we drop off our donations! We will collect all during September?the cutoff date is the LOGOS LEGOS night on Oct. 6th. There is a 1000 roll challenge!
